The list is not all inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but are intended for an understanding of the purpose of the position. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Supervise warehouse employees in basic functions of housing products in the warehouse, selecting orders, and preparing for delivery to members in the most efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the productive, timely and quality shipment and/or receiving of all products for member stores.</li>\n <li>Increase production and effectively utilize the work force to maximize efficiency and reduce warehouse operating expenses.</li>\n <li>Direct the placement of the workforce responding to the changing needs during the shift.</li>\n <li>Hire, train, develop, recognize, and evaluate the performance of all employees on the shift.</li>\n <li>Provide an atmosphere of open and honest communications and a positive working environment.</li>\n <li>Enforcement and education of company safety, sanitation, security and standards of operation.</li>\n <li>Responsible for reducing safety risks and minimizing exposure by working with the team to ensure all safety policies and practices are followed.&nbsp; Conduct audits, train employees, make inspections and observations, praise and acknowledge good safe practices, manage work related injuries to minimize loss and conduct complete accident investigations on all incidents.</li>\n <li>Administer disciplinary action per divisional policies and procedures.</li>\n <li><strong>Oversee the resolution of employee complaints or grievances to facilitate a proper resolution.</strong></li>\n <li>Conduct pre-shift meetings with the team to communicate daily goals, member needs, safety issues and problem areas that need to be addressed.</li>\n <li>Communicate to the Warehouse Manager problem areas, improvements, etc., regarding the warehouse center’s operation.</li>\n <li>Responsible for seeing that state, federal and AWG safety, sanitation, and governmental policies, laws and regulations are maintained and adhered to.</li>\n <li><strong>Work as a member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, associates and division management.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>This position requires strong communication and computer skills with the ability to use and learn new technology.&nbsp;</strong></li>\n</ol>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong>&nbsp; To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.</p>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</strong>&nbsp; Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</p>\n<p><strong>REASONING ABILITY:</strong>&nbsp; Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
