Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and routine mechanical repairs in a shop environment on customer's equipment including trucks, buses, engines, engine components, and subassemblies.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose routine problems with customer's equipment.</li>\n <li>Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.</li>\n <li>Perform routine repairs on customer's equipment. Replace parts and equipment as necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.</li>\n <li>Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate, and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Consult with supervisor to ensure accuracy of diagnosis and approval for repair work.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance to more senior level Shop Technicians on larger jobs.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</li>\n <li>Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and three to seven years related experience required. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p>\n<p>Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required.</p>\n<p>Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools required. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certificates & Licenses</strong></p>\n<p>Technical certification in automotive and/or diesel engine repair preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Activities & Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<p>Work outside as well as in a shop environment.  Shop environment may not have air conditioning.  </p>",
