    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are looking for a Project Manager that has around at least 8 years of experience as a PM running large projects. This person should have more experience on the contractor’s side and less on the owner’s side.  This person will need to understand: contracts, POs, RFI’s, submittals, subcontracts, materials, invoicing, client relations, Co’s, scheduling, forecasting, permit needs, working with Cities and Counties, leading meetings, etc.  Preferably a degree in CM, CE, ME, etc., although not absolutely required. Our complete and diverse range of construction services includes gas transmission and distribution, electrical transmission and distribution, airport fueling facilities, industrial and special projects, telecommunications, and utilities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work alongside Division Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to plan, organize, and direct activities in conjunction with road and site construction project plans</li>\n <li>Coordinate total cost estimates for a particular bid/project as assigned</li>\n <li>Check bid source files to ensure the latest information is available prior to bid day</li>\n <li>Reviews proposal specifications and drawings and attends pre-bid meetings</li>\n <li>Generates RFI’s necessary to establish a competitive baseline</li>\n <li>Performs material take-offs and mathematical calculations accurately</li>\n <li>Determines type of materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractors required</li>\n <li>Monitor and control projects through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget</li>\n <li>Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings</li>\n <li>Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts, protecting the company’s interest and simultaneously maintaining a good relationship with the customer</li>\n <li>Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients</li>\n <li>Upholds all company safety practices and wears appropriate PPE when working in the field</li>\n <li>Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling</li>\n <li>Other related duties and projects as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another related major</li>\n <li>Experience working on PG&E projects is highly desired</li>\n <li>8+ Years of utility construction project management</li>\n <li>Ability to estimate projects and develop cost proposals</li>\n <li>Strong time management and prioritizing abilities</li>\n <li>Strong written & verbal communications skills</li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Project & Excel</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate team building, leadership, and mentoring skills</li>\n <li>Travel requirements to job sites\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license if travelling</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the selection and hiring of related staff.  Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.</li>\n <li>Supervise a small number of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work is performed at project sites and in an office and/or trailer</li>\n <li>Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
