This role is in New York City, NY.</span></p>\n<p><span>In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span><b>Overview</b></span></p>\n<p><span>BNY’s Strategic Investments team (SPIN) is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing minority investments and strategic partnerships that accelerate the firm’s long-term growth agenda. The team operates at the intersection of corporate strategy, M&amp;A, venture investing, and product innovation, with a particular focus on financial infrastructure, digital assets, data platforms, and next-generation fintech.</span></p>\n<p><span>The Senior Vice President will play a key role in supporting the sourcing, diligence, and execution of transactions, while partnering with senior team members and business leaders to align investments with enterprise priorities.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span><b>Key Responsibilities</b></span></p>\n<p><span><b>Investment Execution</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Support the execution of strategic investments, including minority equity investments and joint ventures.</span></li>\n <li><span>Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordinate due diligence processes across commercial, financial, legal, regulatory, risk, and technology domains,</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepare investment memoranda and supporting materials for internal stakeholders and governance committees.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Deal Sourcing &amp; Thematic Development</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Assist in identifying investment opportunities aligned with BNY’s strategic priorities (e.g., digital assets, tokenization, payments, data/analytics, market infrastructure).&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Support relationship management with venture capital firms, founders, bankers, and ecosystem participants.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Contribute to development of investment theses through market research and competitive analysis.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Portfolio Management</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Monitor performance and strategic alignment of portfolio companies.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Support ongoing engagement with portfolio companies, including tracking KPIs and identifying partnership opportunities.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Assist in governance processes, including preparation for board observer participation where applicable.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Strategic Advisory</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Support senior team members in advising business leaders on inorganic growth opportunities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Contribute to corporate strategy initiatives such as market assessments and competitive benchmarking.</span></li>\n <li><span>Partner with internal stakeholders (Product, Legal, Risk, Finance, Compliance) to support execution readiness.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Team Contribution</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Collaborate with colleagues across SPIN and broader BNY teams to deliver high-quality investment outcomes.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of investment processes and materials.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Qualifications:</b></span></p>\n<p><span><b><u>Experience</u></b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>5–8+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or strategic investing within financial services or fintech.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience supporting transactions from evaluation through execution.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Exposure to fintech, financial infrastructure, or digital assets preferred.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Technical Skills</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities (DCF, comparables, venture-style valuation).&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with deal structuring, term sheets, and transaction processes.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to evaluate business models and technology platforms (e.g., data, payments, custody, blockchain, capital markets infrastructure).&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Strategic &amp; Commercial Acumen</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Solid understanding of financial services and fintech ecosystems.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to translate market insights into investment-relevant analysis.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience working in cross-functional environments.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Communication &amp; The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $226,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
