Click Here to See All Ryder Careers: https://jobs.ryder.com/jobs/</p>\n<p> </p>At Ryder, you will be part of a team-first culture built on respect when joining a community of proud women and men in Supply Chain, including many Military Reservists and Veterans.\n<p> </p>\n<p>EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Veteran</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li><p>3 years or more in Warehouse/Manufacturing/Production Environment preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>1 year or more in Construction or Carpentry preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills</p></li>\n <li><p>Able to work within a diverse work environment</p></li>\n <li><p>Highly thorough and dependable</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be punctual and have a good attendance record</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs work independently with minimal supervision</p></li>\n <li><p>Possesses a high degree of initiative</p></li>\n <li> Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8 hour day)</li>\n <li><p>Ability to:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Work independently and as a member of a team</p></li>\n   <li><p>Be a team player</p></li>\n   <li><p>Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)</p></li>\n   <li>Comprehend basic math</li>\n   <li><p>Operate power equipment in a safe manner</p></li>\n   <li><p>Lift and/or push/pull up to 70 lbs</p></li>\n   <li>Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis</li>\n   <li><p>Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements</p></li>\n   <li><p>Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting</p></li>\n   <li><p>Follow repair process</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Important Note: </strong>Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Pallet Repair\n  <ul>\n   <li>Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards</li>\n   <li>Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table</li>\n   <li>Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets</li>\n   <li>Operate a grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Quality\n  <ul>\n   <li>Pallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Safety and Security\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area</li>\n   <li>Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse</li>\n   <li>Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety</li>\n   <li>Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards</li>\n   <li>Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs other duties as assigned</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em><em>Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
