    "description": "<p>This position is a mechanic within the facilities department.  When needed this position will occasionally drive our buses as well as working side by side with other facility employees.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>Essential Functions –</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>This employee will be primarily serving as a mechanic with occasional bus driving assignments.</li>\n<li>Maintain and repair buses, smaller vehicles.</li>\n<li>Help maintain a safe and dependable motor pool fleet.</li>\n<li>Maintain tools and supply inventory for HutchCC buses and vehicles.</li>\n<li>Transport college groups to functions, both in and out of town.</li>\n<li>The ability to adjust work schedule to maintain a minimum of 40 hours per week while minimizing overtime when possible.</li>\n<li>Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.</li>\n<li>Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.</li>\n<li>Serve actively on campus committees.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Secondary –</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Coordinators of the Facilities Department.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS</span>:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess or qualify to possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) plus the “P’ (Passenger) endorsement, airbrake qualification, and the DOT physical examination. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>A good driving record is required and will be checked</em></span>.</li>\n<li>Must be a neat and clean individual, portraying a positive image to our students, faculty, staff, and community members.</li>\n<li>The ability to work effectively and professionally with students, staff, and others.</li>\n<li>Motor vehicle mechanic experience required.</li>\n<li>Motor vehicle chauffeur experience preferred.</li>\n<li>Physical requirements include excellent vision; hand and arm movements to shift, open door, etc., and the ability to assist with lifting heavy equipment (possibly up to 100 pounds or more).
