    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <div>\n  HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Quality Team as a Quality Assurance Technician I.&nbsp;\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b>Summary</b>\n </div>The Quality Assurance Technician I plays an integral part in the safe and successful production of refractory products at HarbisonWalker International.&nbsp; This role is responsible for performing quality assurance functions including, but not limited to the inspection of incoming raw materials and in process material checks to assure conformance to specifications and quality/process control procedures.&nbsp; The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring product consistency and quality, and the final inspection of finished products, prior to shipment to the customer.&nbsp; In addition, the Quality Assurance Technician maintains a clean and safe work environment as well as maintains professional working relationships with co-workers.\n <div>\n  <br/>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b>Responsibilities</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Perform physical testing on final monolithic refractory products to confirm products conform to specifications and meet established HarbisonWalker International and customer standards.</li>\n   <li>Perform inspection and testing of raw materials to assure conformance to specifications quality/process control procedures; perform in process testing to ensure product acceptability.</li>\n   <li>Record and maintain test results and verify conformance to standards.</li>\n   <li>Prepare certificate of analysis or other quality reports.</li>\n   <li>Maintain lab testing and analysis equipment.</li>\n   <li>Perform plant product and process quality observations and record outcomes.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <div>\n   <br/>\n  </div>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b>Requirements</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.</li>\n   <li>Requires zero (0) - two (2) years manufacturing and/or manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician experience; preferably in a refractory (or similar) operation.</li>\n   <li>Strong computer skills and previous experience using on-line work order/preventive maintenance tracking system.</li>\n   <li>Requires interpersonal skills in dealing with coworkers, contractors and vendors.</li>\n   <li>Understanding of basic safety/OSHA standards.</li>\n   <li>Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instruments.</li>\n   <li>Requires math, analytical and problem solving skills.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <div>\n   <br/>\n  </div>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b>Physical and Environmental Requirements</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <p class=\"MsoNormal\"></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Physical Activity:&nbsp;&nbsp;Requires more than 2/3 of time using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel and talking/hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing, walking and reaching with hands and arms; and less than 1/3 of time sitting, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting and smelling.</li>\n   <li>Lifting:&nbsp;&nbsp;Requires lifting to 50 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of time.</li>\n   <li>Vision:&nbsp;&nbsp;Requires accurate close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth perception and the ability to focus.</li>\n   <li>Environment:&nbsp;&nbsp;Requires more than 2/3 of time working in wet or humid conditions; 1/3 to 2/3 of time working near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles; and less than 1/3 of time in an office setting with very limited exposure, exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, at risk of electrical shock or vibration.</li>\n   <li>Noise:&nbsp;&nbsp;Requires exposure to moderate noise.</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n </ul>\n</div>",
