    "description": "<h2>Subsidiary</h2>OmniSource\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Coordinates and implements the activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and end equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures that scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment are completed accurately and on-time to ensure continuation of production operations in line with determined work priorities.</li>\n <li>Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.</li>\n <li>Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.</li>\n <li>Implements preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.</li>\n <li>Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.</li>\n <li>Implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.</li>\n <li>Discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.</li>\n <li>Requests tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations, also obtains quotes for projects and equipment.</li>\n <li>Responsible that all emission control systems are working properly, and that all federal, state, and local documentation are being followed.</li>\n <li>Implements training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures. </li>\n <li>Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.</li>\n <li>Confers with management to resolve any personnel issues.</li>\n <li>Assists in controlling costs in conjunction with departmental budgets.</li>\n <li>Responsible to manage all employees assigned to his/her area of responsibility so the assets of the company are operated and cared for without abuse and unnecessary damage. This includes requiring people to check out, clean, inspect and report any problems with the equipment on a routine basis.</li>\n <li>Monitors employee training, while suggesting needed changes to workers, and work procedures as needed.</li>\n <li>Involved in Lean initiative that affect production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products.</li>\n <li>Supervise and Motivate employees to achieve maintenance goals.</li>\n <li>Responsible for plant personnel safety, and compliance with company policy. Conducting disciplinary actions as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#7305MaintenanceSup</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>1-2 years maintenance experience</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Strong verbal skills to communicate with internal and external customers</li>\n <li>Strong writing skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Advanced Problem-Solving Skills</li>\n <li>Advanced mathematical skills</li>\n <li>Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred                  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2-5 years Supervisory experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. </strong></em></p>",
