    "description": "<p>We are seeking an experienced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Locator / Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in the safe and efficient installation of underground communications infrastructure. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced with HDD operations from setup to completion.<br><br>Key Responsibilities :<br>Locate and track drill head using locating equipment <br>Operate HDD equipment safely and efficiently on various job sites<br>Read and interpret bore plans, profiles, and utility locates<br>Communicate clearly with the drill operator and crew to maintain bore accuracy<br>Ensure compliance with safety standards, job specifications, and local regulations<br>Perform pre-job inspections and daily equipment checks<br>Assist with mud mixing, tooling changes, and job site setup/breakdown as needed</p>\n<p>Maintain accurate bore logs and daily production reports</p>\n<p>Identify and avoid existing underground utilities</p>\n<p>Troubleshoot drilling and locating issues in real time</p>\n<p>Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE<br><br>Qualifications :<br>Minimum 2 years of experience as an HDD Locator and/or Operator<br>Strong knowledge of HDD locating systems and drilling techniques<br>Experience working around existing underground utilities<br>Ability to read utility maps, bore profiles, and construction plans<br>Valid CDL A with tankers endorsement<br>Experience running either Vermeer 24x40 or Ditch Witch AT mud motor systems.<br>Strong communication and teamwork skills<br>Commitment to safety and quality workmanship<br><br>Preferred Experience :<br>Fiber optic construction experience<br>Experience working in urban or congested utility environments</p>",
