Scope & Volume
Leadership Scope: 114 FTEs Surgical Volume: 9,000 annual surgical cases | 2,000 annual endoscopic procedures Capacity: 10 active Operating Rooms Areas of Responsibility
Units: Main OR, Havasu Ambulatory Surgery Center, PreOp, PACU, Preadmission Testing, Anesthesia Services, and CSPD. Specialties: Orthopedics, urology, OB/GYN, general surgery, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, and podiatry. Multidisciplinary Staff: Surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and sterile processing technicians.
How you’ll contribute
A Surgical Services Director who excels in this role:
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current Arizona RN license and possess a Bachelor of Science (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Education: Master’s degree (nursing or relevant field) preferred
Experience: 5+years of surgical nursing and proven leadership experience in the surgical setting required.
