The potential candidates should have a proven track as an estimator, with a commercial background and strong analytical skillset.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead the cost estimating function and be responsible for developing and maintaining unit cost estimates for all electrical, EV, construction and telecom projects.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare qualifications and assumptions for the estimate.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Review and present estimates to senior management.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare cost comparisons and reconciliations with previous estimates.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Continual review and assessment of unit costs and their application to ensure cost accuracy on projects.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly, promptly, and efficiently and that client expectations are achieved throughout the duration of the pre-bid, bid and construction process.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Complete detailed analysis of cost variances, technical approvals and final projects costs, and reporting key findings to improve future cost estimates.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Engage with designers, project managers, planners, and project leaders to identify improvements in cost performance and in cost estimating.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">All other tasks as assigned by management.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Skills &amp; Abilities:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">A logical and systematic approach to data analytics and problem solving.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to understand and make decisions based on the relationships between, financial, safety, and technical risks.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong leadership skills, with significant experience of working from own initiative and taking ownership of work.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The ability to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience in costing / estimating of construction projects &amp; civil engineering / utility projects would be preferable.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working knowledge and experience with estimating software a plus.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated ability as an estimator &ndash; delivering accurate project &amp; unit costs to a high quality and standard, fully supported with detailed logic, assumptions, and key source data.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge and experience in unit cost estimating, project cost development and budgetary planning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong IT skills with proficiency in Office 365 applications.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>About Us</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maverick Corporation is a full-service Engineering and Construction firm working in the telecommunications, Electrical vehicle infrastructure and electrical power sectors.
