Do you take pride in working with your hands, outdoors, and as part of a crew that values quality, safety, and teamwork?</span><br></p>\n<p>Garden City Tree &amp; Landscape Ltd. is hiring Landscape Technicians to join our growing Landscape Construction Division. We create outdoor environments across Greater Victoria for residential and commercial clients and we’re looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who want to grow in a professional and supportive team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and install hardscapes including patios, walkways, driveways, pavers, retaining walls, and other stone or wood features.</li>\n<li>Install softscape elements such as trees, shrubs, soil, sod, and mulch.</li>\n<li>Contribute to irrigation system installations and drainage solutions.</li>\n<li>Operate a range of power tools and equipment (e.g. skid steers, walk-behinds, compaction tools, cutting saws).</li>\n<li>Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials for transport.</li>\n<li>Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with foremen and crew members to complete projects efficiently.</li>\n<li>Take part in winter work, including snow removal and anti-ice applications, as required.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 year of hands-on experience in landscaping, construction, masonry, carpentry, or a related outdoor trade.</li>\n<li>A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.</li>\n<li>Physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive tasks such as digging, lifting, raking, trenching, and material handling.</li>\n<li>Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Excellent teamwork and communication skills.</li>\n<li>A valid Class 5 Driver’s License <br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quality work clothing</li>\n<li>Extended Health and Dental Benefits </li>\n<li>In-house Health spending account.</li>\n<li>Life insurance</li>\n<li>Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.</li>\n<li>Training and mentorship from experienced landscapers<br></li>\n<li>On site Free Parking</li>\n<li>Access to in-house mulch and soil for personal use.</li>\n<li>Free coffee from our in-office machine.</li>\n<li>Monthly team gatherings with food and beverages on Garden City.<br></li>\n<li>A supportive, friendly and safe work environment.<br><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\">$23-$30 per hour depending on skills and experience.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Schedule:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM </li>\n<li><em>Seasonal Hours (May to September, 2026) </em>:<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span> </span>Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Anticipated start date is mid to late February</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Location:</span><span> </span>Different Greater Victoria work sites.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">About Us</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\">Garden City Tree &amp; Landscape Ltd. is a leading landscaping company dedicated to creating beautiful outdoors for our clients all over Greater Victoria for twenty years.
