Description The Coordinator of Instructional Technology supports the effective integration of technology across the school system to enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency. This role manages digital platforms, oversees technology systems and vendors, and provides leadership in the implementation of instructional technology initiatives. The Coordinator works closely with school leaders, teachers, students, and families to ensure that technology resources are accessible, secure, and aligned to instructional goals. Responsibilities Leadership & Systems Management ● Provides leadership in the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of instructional technology systems across the district. ● Manages all digital tools and platforms to ensure alignment with instructional priorities and district goals. ● Oversees relationships with approximately 28 digital vendors, including contract management, implementation, and ongoing support. ● Manages software licensing across all instructional platforms, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency. ● Develops and maintains systems for tracking technology usage, access, and performance. Instructional Technology & Platform Administration ● Serves as the district administrator for major instructional platforms, including Google for Education, Canvas, and Google Classroom. ● Manages Clever, including beginning-of-year and end-of-year rollover processes and rostering systems. ● Oversees LightSpeed systems and digital monitoring tools. ● Supports the implementation and use of digital assessment platforms including Bluebook (AP testing), TestNav (EOC and TCAP), and Respondus LockDown Browser. ● Collaborates with instructional leaders to support effective integration of technology into teaching and learning. ● Manages the Vector platform and ensures proper implementation and usage across the district. Technology Support, Training & User Experience ● Provides technical support and troubleshooting for students, faculty, and staff across all district technology platforms. ● Designs and implements a streamlined system for submitting and resolving technology support tickets. ● Provides ongoing training for faculty and staff on instructional technology tools and best practices. ● Develops and delivers training sessions and creates clear, accessible training guides for students and families to support the use of new and existing digital platforms. ● Develops resources, documentation, and guidance to improve user proficiency and ensure consistent implementation across the district. ● Ensures timely resolution of technology issues to minimize disruptions to instruction. Device & Infrastructure Management ● Coordinates device deployment at the beginning of each school year and device collection at the end of the year. ● Manages and maintains a comprehensive inventory of all technology devices and equipment across all schools within the district, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and accountability. ● Implements and oversees inventory systems to monitor device assignment, usage, repairs, and replacements across sites. ● Oversees device lease agreements and ensures compliance with vendor terms. ● Establishes and maintains systems for long-term asset management and lifecycle planning. Compliance, Policy & Data Security ● Monitors and updates the district’s Acceptable Use Policy to ensure alignment with current laws, regulations, and best practices. ● Ensures all technology systems comply with district, state, and federal data privacy and security requirements. ● Maintains accurate records related to technology systems, licenses, inventory, and usage. ● Supports district efforts related to digital safety, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible technology use. Operational Oversight & Continuous Improvement ● Assists with the development and implementation of technology-related procedures and best practices. ● Analyzes system usage and performance data to inform decision-making and improve efficiency. ● Collaborates with district and school leaders to identify and implement innovative technology solutions. ● Ensures that all technology systems support instructional goals and organizational effectiveness. ● Oversees University Schools website maintenance and edits ● Ensure full compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and all applicable student data privacy laws. ● Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and personally identifiable information (PII). ● Control access to student information systems and ensure data is shared only with authorized individuals. ● Provide training and guidance to staff on FERPA requirements and best practices for data security. ● Monitor and enforce proper handling, storage, and transmission of student data. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology, or a related field required. Minimum of five (5) years of K–12 education experience preferred. Experience supporting instructional technology systems, digital platforms, and data systems strongly preferred.     "InternalResponsibilitiesStr": "<p><strong><u>Leadership &amp; Systems Management</u></strong><br>● Provides leadership in the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of instructional technology systems across the district.<br>● Manages all digital tools and platforms to ensure alignment with instructional priorities and district goals.<br>● Oversees relationships with approximately 28 digital vendors, including contract management, implementation, and ongoing support.<br>● Manages software licensing across all instructional platforms, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.<br>● Develops and maintains systems for tracking technology usage, access, and performance.</p><p><strong><u>Instructional Technology &amp; Platform Administration</u></strong><br>● Serves as the district administrator for major instructional platforms, including Google for Education, Canvas, and Google Classroom.<br>● Manages Clever, including beginning-of-year and end-of-year rollover processes and rostering systems.<br>● Oversees LightSpeed systems and digital monitoring tools.<br>● Supports the implementation and use of digital assessment platforms including Bluebook (AP testing), TestNav (EOC and TCAP), and Respondus LockDown Browser.<br>● Collaborates with instructional leaders to support effective integration of technology into teaching and learning.<br>● Manages the Vector platform and ensures proper implementation and usage across the district.</p><p><strong><u>Technology Support, Training &amp; User Experience</u></strong><br>● Provides technical support and troubleshooting for students, faculty, and staff across all district technology platforms.<br>● Designs and implements a streamlined system for submitting and resolving technology support tickets.<br>● Provides ongoing training for faculty and staff on instructional technology tools and best practices.<br>● Develops and delivers training sessions and creates clear, accessible training guides for students and families to support the use of new and existing digital platforms.<br>● Develops resources, documentation, and guidance to improve user proficiency and ensure consistent implementation across the district.<br>● Ensures timely resolution of technology issues to minimize disruptions to instruction.</p><p><strong><u>Device &amp; Infrastructure Management</u></strong><br>● Coordinates device deployment at the beginning of each school year and device collection at the end of the year.<br>● Manages and maintains a comprehensive inventory of all technology devices and equipment across all schools within the district, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and accountability.<br>● Implements and oversees inventory systems to monitor device assignment, usage, repairs, and replacements across sites.<br>● Oversees device lease agreements and ensures compliance with vendor terms.<br>● Establishes and maintains systems for long-term asset management and lifecycle planning.</p><p>Compliance, Policy &amp; Data Security<br>● Monitors and updates the district’s Acceptable Use Policy to ensure alignment with current laws, regulations, and best practices.<br>● Ensures all technology systems comply with district, state, and federal data privacy and security requirements.<br>● Maintains accurate records related to technology systems, licenses, inventory, and usage.<br>● Supports district efforts related to digital safety, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible technology use.</p><p><strong><u>Operational Oversight &amp; Continuous Improvement</u></strong><br>● Assists with the development and implementation of technology-related procedures and best practices.<br>● Analyzes system usage and performance data to inform decision-making and improve efficiency.<br>● Collaborates with district and school leaders to identify and implement innovative technology solutions.<br>● Ensures that all technology systems support instructional goals and organizational effectiveness.<br>● Oversees University Schools website maintenance and edits<br>● Ensure full compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and all applicable student data privacy laws.<br>● Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and personally identifiable information (PII).<br>● Control access to student information systems and ensure data is shared only with authorized individuals.<br>● Provide training and guidance to staff on FERPA requirements and best practices for data security.<br>● Monitor and enforce proper handling, storage, and transmission of student data.</p><p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p>",
