As part of Legacy Health, Silverton offers high-quality, community-based care with the support and resources of a regional health system. In March 2024, Legacy Health completed a $37 million, 21,000 square foot expansion, which includes a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, as well as new and improved care spaces—reflecting a continued investment in both the community and clinical infrastructure.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team operates across Silverton and its satellite clinics in Keizer and Woodburn, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal services in the region including surgical care, fracture management, advanced non-operative, and operative treatments.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Where You’ll Live:</strong></p>\n<p>Nestled in the heart of Oregon’s Central Willamette Valley, Silverton is known for its small-town charm, vibrant community, and easy access to outdoor recreation. As a Legacy provider, you’ll join a connected, mission-driven organization focused on teamwork, innovation, and high-quality care.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides a full range of orthopedic care, to include general orthopedics and pediatric orthopedics, to patients of Legacy Health System. Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.</li>\n <li> Provides “non-trauma” coverage on an “on-call” capacity for Emanuel Hospital.</li>\n <li> Provides office follow up of orthopedic patients.</li>\n <li> Participates in the education program for OHSU orthopedic surgery residents.</li>\n <li> Participates in the Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.</li>\n <li> Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion.</li>\n <li> Participates in Legacy research activities as appropriate.</li>\n <li> Works with infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and elderly/geriatric patients.</li>\n <li><strong>Participation in Level IV trauma call is required. </strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Completion of ACGME accredited residency in orthopedic surgery.</li>\n <li>Fellowship in subspecialty area of orthopedic surgery preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ideal for an orthopedic surgeon with a desire to be part of a growing orthopedic practice working with both adult and pediatric patients.</li>\n <li>Foot & Ankle or Hand subspecialty a plus.</li>\n <li>Two to three years experience in the management of orthopedic trauma preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical License for the applicable state.</li>\n <li>Membership on LPH Medical Staff.</li>\n <li>Board Eligible/Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.</li>\n <li>BLS certification through the American Heart Association</li>\n <li>ATLS required for trauma privileges.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Please note: No J1 or H-1B visa opportunities.</strong></p>\n<h2>Our Commitment to Health and Equal Opportunity</h2>\n<p>Our Legacy is good for health for Our People, Our Patients, Our Communities, Our World.
