Responsibilities
Provides clear and accurate health, safety, and wellness guidance to ministry staff through various communication methods.
Leads, manages, and mentors a high-performing safety and wellness team.
Develops and delivers presentations to promote workplace health and safety.
Supports and coaches employees to maintain a respectful and proactive work environment.
Leads and advises Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committees on safety initiatives and compliance.
Identifies hazards, assesses risks, and implements policies and procedures to mitigate workplace incidents.
Interprets and applies OHS legislation, policies, and standards.
Addresses health and safety concerns professionally, ensuring resolution and compliance.
Conducts investigations through observation, interviews, and inspections to verify information.
Maintains accurate records and documents using word processing and spreadsheet tools.
