    "jobDescription": "<p><b>This part-time Security role requires a week-long daytime training period during the first week of employment (M/T 8am-4:30pm, W/TH/F 6am-2:30pm). Candidates must be available to complete this one week training.<br /><br />Nature and Scope</b></p><p>Monitors building security.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Monitor multiple electric gates via video system and coordinate entry/exit into the facility.</p></li><li><p>Documents daily activity in a logbook.</p></li><li><p>Documents incidents on appropriate company documentation.</p></li><li><p>Escort contractors, vendors and visitors throughout the facility.</p></li><li><p>Issues keys and maintains a log.</p></li><li><p>Resolves confrontation and employee issues as needed.</p></li><li><p>Issues security badges, both temporary and permanent.  Operate photo I.D. badge machine.</p></li><li><p>Monitors video system and reviews tapes as requested.</p></li><li><p>Excellent phone skills: transfer, page, and take messages.</p></li><li><p>Interface with Facility Department to dispatch Maintenance Personnel.</p></li><li><p>Must monitor, activate and deactivate the intrusion alarm system and fire alarm system.  Respond to alarms as required by SOP.</p></li><li><p>Responds to medical emergencies as needed and acts as a liaison with local police &amp; fire departments.  Completes all forms and notified appropriate management as per SOPs and safety procedures.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education Requirements and Qualifications</b></p><p>High school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of 1-year experience in a security position. </p><ul><li><p>Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License.</p></li><li><p>Must possess and maintain a valid &amp; active NY State Security License.</p></li><li><p>Valid first aid and adult CPR/AED certifications. </p></li><li><p>Must handle multiple tasks simultaneously (i.e. phone, monitor video system, observe employee entry).</p></li><li><p>Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, required. </p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently.</p></li><li><p>Must be flexible to work on multiple shifts and holidays.  This position is part of a multi-shift operation and may require assignment to a regular off shift and/or weekends schedule.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice. </p></li></ul><p><br /><b>Physical Environment and Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p>Must be able to work at an interior post as well as an exterior Guard Booth post.</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift up to 50lbs.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to sit for extended durations as needed.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to stand for extended durations as needed.</p></li><li><p>Must maintain a professional appearance as this is a uniformed position.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Expected Hourly Rate:</b></p><p>$21.06 - $21.75</p><p></p><p>The hourly rate displayed is the  minimum and maximum hourly rate of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.  Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.</p><p></p><p>American Regent also offers a competitive total rewards package which includes healthcare, life insurance, profit sharing, paid time off, matching 401k as well as a wide range of other benefits.<br /> </p><p><span style=\"color:#000000\">American Regent celebrates diversity and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
