    "description": "<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About The Position:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The Awards Adjudication Committee selects the recipients of the Students' Union Awards (UASU Awards). It allows students to recognize and reward the outstanding achievements of their peers through the disbursement of approximately $100,000 to deserving students each year.</span><br><br><span>Being on a committee looks great on a resume, gives you experience working and collaborating with others, and allows you to get to know your campus better.</span><br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Eligibility Criteria</span><br><br><span>Applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate students at the University of Alberta.</span><br><br><span>Selected members of the committee cannot have applied to the Awards program, nominated another student or professor, or written reference letters for any of the applicants for the current cycle.</span><br><br><span>All members of the committee must abide by the rules and regulations set by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).
