Description
QUALITY CONSULTING GROUP, a leader in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and manufacturing industry, is looking for a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the Phytogen Seed Company research program. The tasks will include any or all of those described for the Field and Processing Worker. In addition, the Technician's Assistant will perform additional tasks as required by the supervising Field Technician. These tasks may include, under close supervision of the Field Supervisor: assisting with the repair and maintenance of field equipment, limited operation of field equipment, organization of samples during harvest and/or processing, and limited driving of a company vehicle. The type of task will be dependent on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in nature. Tasks may be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor setting. Responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research program. Tasks may include: Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest. Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, ginning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging. General facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise. Perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician. Operation of mobile field equipment, such as a tractor or cotton picker, and stationary field equipment, such as a module builder. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Natural Science (Biology or Environmental Science), Statistics, Mathematics or Information Systems. Interpret field observations (agronomic scouting) Standardize qualitative data (e.g., scales, categories) Relate observations to quantitative metrics (e.g., IPM applications) Leadership and Organizational Skills The contingent worker will be responsible of the process to expedite the needed driver license when asked. (This is a requirement for employment) 1st & 2nd shift. Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays.
