Keep reading and we'll tell you about the specifics! The Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker demonstrates an understanding of, and belief in, Mazuma's culture and Core Values. The primary responsibility of the Personal Banker role is to ensure the delivery of an amazing Member experience to our Members, both internally and externally, through Mazuma's sales and service model, either by electronic, phone, or in-person communication, as this position will be able to work in any of Mazuma's Retail Delivery locations. This Team Member will work with Members and Team Members directly and indirectly to engage and connect, evaluate to identify needs, educate on solutions, and enrich the lives of our Members through outstanding service delivery. SALES AND SERVICE : The Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker will be responsible for ensuring our Members feel valued and appreciated. This should occur while engaging in all sales and service activities in order to initiate, develop, and retain relationships with our Members through advising Members on the best products and service solutions to meet their needs. This Team Member will be receptive to training, coaching, and will continually improve in delivering exceptional service in all interactions as they work with their supervisor to ensure they are helping the location they are supporting to meet or exceed assigned production goals in order to enrich the lives of our Members. PEOPLE SKILLS : The Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker will be expected to exhibit strong interpersonal skills to Members, Teammates, and to all Team Members to ensure strong working relationships within the entirety of the Mazuma team. This position will be able to manage conflict well, take initiative in resolving conflict, and will have a high level of emotional intelligence and will be an expert at connecting, listening, and asking for additional business that is relevant to the Member. Will always be willing and open to proactive collaboration with others throughout the organization. Their positive attitude will make a visible and meaningful contribution to the growth of their team. PROBLEM SOLVING : The Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker will work proactively to resolve Member concerns, and will be able to do so by continually developing their job knowledge so that it is appropriate to their role through effective use of all available resources, engagement in training activities, application of learning, willingness to be coached by their leader, and their demonstrated interest in growth related to their role. OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE : The Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker will demonstrate ability to adhere to all policies and procedures related to their role. The Team Member will need to understand, complete, and explain all associated paperwork, fees, and other information to Members, complete member disputes, fraud claims, check orders, stop payments, safe deposit box requests where applicable, as well as assisting members with bookkeeping and any other account activities. Will also acquire and apply knowledge of trust and business accounts. Display a basic understanding of all systems used internally to serve Members. There may also be opportunities to assist with back office functions such as ATM balancing, cash dispense and coin machine balancing, and daily opening/closing duties as assigned. This position will also be expected to understand and follow our loan process completely, and will assist Members from the first stage of initiating a loan application through the funding and processing of the loan. The position will also develop an advanced level of account and loan knowledge and the ability to craft solutions based on individual Member needs, as well as more complex service requests. This Team Member will focus on compliance with all federal regulations pertaining to financial institutions, all established organizational policies and guidelines, and operational procedures. Experience 1 year cash handling required 1 year of Sales and/or Advising required 1 year hospitality industry or financial institution experience required Demonstrated ability in lieu of experience will be considered for internal candidates Education/Certifications/Licenses Minimum of High School Diploma, or equivalent. Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal skills Proven customer/member service skills Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills or demonstrated ability Ability to work with all departments, personality types, and skill levels effectively Professional appearance, dress, and attitude Lead by example and represent the highest level of member service Strong ability to multi task and handle multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work with minimal supervision, either independently or as a team Other Skills Well-organized, good mathematical ability, with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours. Required to work at any credit union location that may include extended hours, holidays, or Saturdays. Performs other duties as assigned. Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel), as well as advanced keyboarding skills.
