    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Cloud Architect</strong> serves as a key technical leader responsible for shaping, guiding, and advancing the organization’s cloud strategy in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role oversees the planning, design, and implementation of secure, scalable, and mission-aligned cloud architectures. The Expert Cloud Architect ensures that thorough analyses of cloud service alternatives are conducted and prioritized, enabling the Government to effectively architect business and mission solutions using cloud-based systems and services.</p>\n<h4><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Drive Cloud Transformation:</strong> Lead and support cultural and organizational change initiatives that promote successful cloud adoption across NGA and related mission environments.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Architect Cloud Solutions:</strong> Oversee the design, development, and coordination of integrated cloud architectures that meet NGA’s operational, security, and mission requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Strategic Cloud Planning:</strong> Develop and refine enterprise cloud strategies to guide the adoption, migration, and optimization of cloud-based solutions within NGA’s technical ecosystem.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Leadership & Oversight:</strong> Provide technical direction, mentorship, and quality assurance for teams of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Cloud Architects, ensuring alignment with NGA standards, enterprise policies, and best practices.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><em>Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.</li>\n <li>18 years of experience in cloud-based systems architecting is required and may be considered in lieu of degree.</li>\n <li>One or more Cloud Certifications such as:o Cloud Certified Solutions Architecto AWS Certifiedo Cisco Certified Networking Administrator – Cloudo Cisco Certified Network Professional – Cloudo IBM Certified Cloud Solution Architecto MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructureo VMware Certified Professional (VCP7-CMA)</li>\n <li>Experience with NGA</li>\n <li>TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desired:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous working experience in government or industry, within Cloud Architect profession.</li>\n <li>Experience architecting solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data.</li>\n <li>Experience architecting solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligencetechnologies.</li>\n <li>Experience architecting solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
