If you want to grow your career in a progressive, team-oriented environment, apply today.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>About the Job:</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Short Range Planner will report to the Long Range Planner and is responsible for planning and tracking all mining activities on a weekly basis. The schedule for this position is 15 days on at the remote mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 13 days off.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Responsibilites:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Possess a strong desire to advance technical skills, and obtain a broad range of experience in various disciplines. One of our key goals is to cross-train in various disciplines as advancing experience and time permits within: Ventilation, Paste Backfill, Site Water Balance, Drill Blast Design, Ground Support, and Surface Stockpile management.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Side Jobs and activities to be taken on as time and experience permits.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide engineering technical support to mine operations and other groups as required, including Mine Design (Infrastructure, Ventilation, Development), and Mine Planning (Daily Tracking and Reporting, Weekly Sequencing for the short range plan).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reporting activities: Daily/Weekly/Monthly data tracking, and reporting of output vs. plan, tracking various key activities including drilling, mucking, blasting, filling, and reconciliations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Regular coordination with Operations, Geology, and Survey groups to implement the weekly and monthly plan. In addition to the creation of forecasts to achieve monthly, and yearly budget targets.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Plan and coordinate moderately complex projects, including estimation of capital and operating costs, stope and development design optimization, and mine infrastructure changes.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications &amp; Skills:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Approximately 1-3 years of experience preferred working in an underground hard rock mining environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of Geotechnical and Ventilation systems preferred, but not required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The ability to follow complex written and oral instructions, with sound knowledge of mining methods, costs, and productivity is required.
