This position focuses on the installation of ductless mini-split, air-source heat pump, and related HVAC systems, ensuring all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and state licensing requirements. The role requires a licensed HVAC technician capable of delivering high-quality, efficient, and code-compliant installations while maintaining professionalism and safety on every job site.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><u>Project Leadership &amp; Coordination</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Lead HVAC installation crews in the setup and completion of ductless mini-split and air-source heat pump systems.</li><li>Coordinate with project managers, dispatchers, and clients to verify project scope, scheduling, and site readiness.</li><li>Allocate work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.</li></ul><p><u>Technical Expertise &amp; Troubleshooting</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform advanced system installation tasks including line set routing, vacuuming, flaring, pressure testing, and electrical connections.</li><li>Diagnose and correct technical or design issues during installation; ensure full operational performance upon completion.</li><li>Verify system charging, calibration, and commissioning per manufacturer specifications.</li></ul><p><u>Team Development &amp; Training</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Supervise, mentor, and train junior installers and apprentices on best practices, safety, and proper installation techniques.</li><li>Conduct on-site coaching to ensure consistent quality and adherence to company standards.</li></ul><p><u>Documentation &amp; Compliance</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Maintain detailed records of project details, equipment installed, field changes, and customer communications.</li><li>Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NEC, and state/local building codes.</li><li>Complete job closeout documentation, including photos, inspection sign-offs, and system verification checklists.</li></ul><p><u>Customer Relations</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Serve as the primary on-site contact for homeowners or general contractors, communicating status updates and addressing concerns.</li><li>Represent the company with professionalism, courtesy, and a focus on delivering excellent customer satisfaction.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>5+ years of experience installing HVAC systems, including ductless mini-split or VRF systems preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead installation crews and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.</li><li>Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical systems.</li><li>Proficient with digital gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery equipment, and diagnostic tools.</li></ul><p><strong>Education &amp; Certifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with clean driving record required; ability to travel daily to job sites.</li><li>Valid EPA 608 Universal Certification strongly preferred.</li><li>Completion of accredited HVAC technical school or apprenticeship preferred.</li><li>OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Safety Certification a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Leadership and crew supervision.</li><li>Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.</li><li>Effective communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented project execution.</li><li>Problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.</li><li>Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;<p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity</strong></p><p>Rycor HVAC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
