    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">School Nurse</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">WHO YOU ARE:</span><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The School Nurse will serve as the primary advocate for the health and well being of students and staff within the school.  Responsibilities include health screening and services, emergency first aid, the care of those who are ill and/or injured while in the school, maintenance of health records, and instruction in sound health practices.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Think you’ve got what it takes?</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">THE ROLE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conducts appropriate health services as mandated by Board policy and New Jersey School Law</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assumes responsibility for selection and referral of students in need of medical and dental care</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Reports to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school medical matters</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all students in accordance with New Jersey State Law</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assumes authority, in the absence of a physician, for the care of a student or staff member who has suffered injury or emergency illness. Administers first-aid in accordance with established first-aid procedure</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Visits student homes when necessary and contacts homes of children referred by staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Teaches health classes and coordinates with specialty area teachers appropriate curriculum</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepares and submits reports to the Principal and the State Board of Health.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Implements policy on exclusion and re-admission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participates in the instructional programs related to health and nutrition upon request of the professional staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participates in committee meetings and conferences regarding health service and health curriculum</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conducts registration of all new students and determines their eligibility for enrollment in accordance with State health regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintains familiarity with current trends and practices in the field of school health and continuously improves professional competence through in-service programs, performance evaluations, and his/her individual professional improvement plan.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Serves as a resource to the Child Study Team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU IF YOU HAVE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A valid NJDOE School Nurse Certificate #3000 or</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">or </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">a valid NJDOE School Nurse-Non Instructional Certificate #3010 </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">or</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hold a valid, current New Jersey RN License; if an RN is eligible for an Emergency Certification, the candidate must provide documented proof of enrollment in a qualified program to obtain the required courses necessary for the issuance of a Standard School Nurse-Non Instructional Certificate within 3 years from date of hire. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hold a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certification as issued by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the National Safety Council, or other entities determined by the Department of Health to comply with the American Heart Association’s CPR guidelines</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">WHO WE ARE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Marion P.
