    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(230, 126, 35); font-weight: bold\">Project Designer</span></p>\n<p>Design · Willmar, MN</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Position</span></p>\n<p>The Project Designer is responsible to assist Architects, Sales, Estimating, Project Management and Field Operations in leading the conceptual development of projects; engage directly with clients to understand requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback; develop and communicate the overall design vision; and support project teams by translating high-level design work into actionable plans that facilitate execution by project teams. The Project Designer is also responsible for providing direction and communicating design intent to Design Drafters.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create detailed architectural and structural drawings, coordinate details and dimensions, and design with awareness of cost implications and construction timelines</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop construction details that comply with the overall design intent and project budget</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with all stakeholders (designers, project managers, engineers, and clients) to develop design concepts and construction documents, guide design execution, and resolve conflicts</li>\n<li>Prepare approval drawings, revisions, and installation/erection drawings - ensuring design intent is maintained throughout construction documentation and execution</li>\n<li>Work with clients to translate their needs and project goals into design strategies</li>\n<li>Integrate design requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives and company standards</li>\n<li>Participate in design reviews and incorporate design changes efficiently based on feedback from project stakeholders. Clearly communicate impact to all stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure designs comply with company regulations and quality industry standards</li>\n<li>Ensure ongoing review and verify documents are accurate and complete</li>\n<li>Verify submittals and respond to requests for information</li>\n<li>Support construction projects with Revit &amp; Auto CAD software</li>\n<li>Collaborate with project personnel to facilitate projects</li>\n<li>Support non-Revit users with AutoCAD file creation and maintenance from Revit, 2D and 3D files</li>\n<li>Mentor Design Drafters as assigned, helping them improve technical accuracy and design understanding</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Qualifications and Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Mechanical or Architectural Drafting and Design or related field OR</li>\n<li>5 years of related experience preferred</li>\n<li>Proficient in one or more of the following design software: Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and Procore</li>\n<li>Incorporate updated software techniques and ensure design accuracy and compliance with industry standards</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of construction methods and materials</li>\n<li>Be curious and assist the department in moving forward in the technology space to stay competitive in the industry</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines</li>\n<li>Experience with agricultural and commercial/industrial building design is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to read and interpret construction drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, etc.)</li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand architectural &amp; structural construction documents</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge and ability to follow design codes</li>\n<li>Able to create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications</li>\n<li>Fluency in reading 2D and 3D plans, electronically or hard copy</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands/Working Environment:</span> The physical demands listed here represent those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position involves sitting/standing at a computer for extended periods of time and routinely standing and walking. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise, as well as during job site visits with potentially higher noise levels.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>Position occasionally requires visits to construction jobsites in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures. Exposure to dirt, dust, and other materials is routine and may require protective clothing and respirators. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites.
