As a Cleanroom Technician , you will support the fabrication of samples for process development and standard manufacturing (thin film and assembly) within a highly regulated semiconductor environment for medical devices. This involves processing and fabricating polymer-based thin-film devices incorporating novel materials into the stack to enhance device performance as well as assembly of leads for final devices production.
You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people´s lives worldwide.
This position will be office-based in Bellaterra.
Your profile
Main responsibilities:
Operate equipment involved in medical device fabrication, including ICP- RIE, optical microscopy, wet etching, photolithography, and more. Record inspection data, prepare reports, and promptly notify supervisors of any deviation . E nsure outgoing product quality in accordance with guidelines. Assist with traceability to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform routine tasks with accuracy, adhering strictly to established methodologies. Provide comprehensive technical support to maintain effective manufacturing operations. Execute duties following Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and safety-compliant protocols . Work in compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and established process recipes. Participate in training and qualification activities to maintain team competency and adherence to protocols. Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and service ability; ensure the safe disposal of waste. Supervise materials and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted operations, proactively managing stock, coordinating with supply chain teams, and verifying availability of critical components for timely execution of cleanroom processes. Independently organize and oversee cleanroom activities, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills:
Fluency in English required (company main language). Bachelor technical degree (engineer ing , materials, chemical, mechanical, electrical or related field ) 2-3 years of Laboratory or Cleanroom experience (preferably within company setting). Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to shifting priorities. Able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. High attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, sterility, and adherence to aseptic techniques. M aintains a positive attitude and works well both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to have:
Experience with thin films and/or semiconductor manufacturing and/or assembly is a strong plus. General knowledge of micro fabrication processes within the semiconductor industry such as: reactive ion etching; wet etching techniques; photolithography; metal deposition is a strong plus. Experience in quality control for medical devices or another highly regulated environment is a nice to have. Good understanding of Spanish is a nice to have.
