    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Barn workers are responsible for handling all animals humanely, proper and accurate documentation of cattle received and on site, as well as cleanliness of the barn area. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will be working with live cattle.</li>\n <li>Moving cattle to proper locations within the barn (ex. Truck to scale, scale to pen, pen to knock).</li>\n <li>Ensure all gates are secure to prevent mixing of producer’s cattle.</li>\n <li>Ensure that proper documentation is kept accurate.</li>\n <li>Verify cattle counts and pen locations.</li>\n <li>Properly filling out Ante-mortem inspection sheets and ensure all cattle are properly inspected prior to harvest.</li>\n <li>Ensure all cattle have access to clean water sources.</li>\n <li>Separate slow/ challenged cattle. Knock non-ambulatory or challenged animal.</li>\n <li>Ensure good communication with Harvest Management, USDA, and the Finance team.</li>\n <li>NOTE: this description is not intended to be all inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications (Required):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery, or at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Previous livestock handling/ beef production experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Always be aware of your surroundings.</li>\n <li>Follow all safety, food safety, and Animal welfare procedures.</li>\n <li>Be attentive to detail.</li>\n <li>Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and follow instructions.</li>\n <li>Ability to attend work consistently.</li>\n <li>Able to stand for lengthy periods of time.</li>\n <li>Display strong work ethic.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
