text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial;'>Operate commercial vehicles, such as automated side loader, front-loaders, rear-loaders, roll-off trucks, or transfer trucks, in a safe and efficient manner</li><li>Follow designated routes and schedules for waste collection and transport</li><li>Collect waste materials from residential, commercial, or industrial sites by completing all routes in a timely manner while maintaining efficiency and within the route standards</li><li>Load waste into the truck using appropriate equipment, such as hydraulic lifts or compactors</li><li>Optimize the route to minimize unnecessary trips to the designated disposal or recycling facilities while ensuring secure and compliant handling</li><li>Minimize delays and disruptions to the schedule by not having any misses per week and promptly completing paperwork in morning and afternoon/evening</li><li>Perform a daily and thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning</li><li>Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure well-being</li><li>Follow safe driving practices, including defensive driving techniques and adherence to traffic laws including <strong>no use of cell phone</strong> <strong>or radios while driving</strong></li><li>Use three Points of Contact and be aware of surroundings at all times to ensure grippers and forks are always positioned in safe manner</li><li>Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly for repairs</li><li>Represent Burrtec in a professional manner as a frontline representative</li><li>Deliver excellent customer service and wear the assigned uniform</li><li>Be courteous, respectful, and professional when interacting with customers and coworkers</li><li>Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints immediately and with empathy, striving to exceed customer expectations whenever possible</li><li>Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating commercial vehicles</li><li>Respect all company equipment by keeping the cab clean at all times and not obstruct or tamper with the on-board camera system</li><li>Follow all DOT Regulations daily (10-hour rule, 34 hour reset and 12 hour logs)</li><li>Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards for waste transportation and disposal</li><li>Maintain clear and open communication with supervisors, dispatchers, and fellow team members by using communication tools such as radios or on-board electronics to stay connected and informed throughout the workday</li><li>Review and approve timecard on a weekly basis</li><li>Follow meal period policy by taking 30-minute meal within 5th hour and a second 30-minute meal period by 10<sup>th</sup> hour if working 12 hours or more</li><li>Maintain accurate records of waste collection activities, including logs, work orders, and route sheets</li><li>Assists with other routes and work mandatory OT as assigned</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p style='box-sizing: inherit;
