Overview The Opportunity The Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP) at National Louis University (NLU) located in Chicago, IL seeks exceptional practitioner-scholar applicants for Full-Time Assistant Director of Clinical Training, Clinical Psychology , a core administrative faculty position within our APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology doctoral program. Successful candidates will join a cohesive faculty of outstanding practitioner-scholars who share a commitment and passion to training future health-service psychologists and providing psychological services in a diverse community. This is a 50% administrative/50% teaching, twelve-month, full-time position with assigned professional responsibilities for administration, teaching, scholarship, and service. Ideal applicants will be licensed clinical psychologists with some experience providing supervision or clinical training administration to graduate level psychology students within an academic or clinical training setting. Ideal applicants will also have the ability to teach doctorate-level courses in one or more of the following primary areas: Diversity and Multicultural Theory and Practice Psychological Assessment Psychometrics Family Theory and Therapy Dissertation Proposal Statistics Adult Development and Aging or Geropsychology Essential Responsibilities In addition to teaching within their area of expertise, the Assistant Director of Clinical Training will: Assist the Director of Clinical Training and the Associate Director of Clinical Training with practicum site and supervisor screening, selection, and development Provide ongoing quality assurance for practicum sites Prepare students for practicum applications and placement, including reviewing CVs and cover letters and helping students identify appropriate practicum sites Manage training-related data Participate in regular Association of Chicagoland Externship and Practicum Training (ACEPT) meetings Oversee the Clinical Capstone sequence Teach 12 credits per year; develop syllabi and teaching materials related to courses taught Supervise doctoral dissertations and serve on dissertation committees Participate in program assessment, student learning assessment, curriculum review, academic admissions processes, and other program activities Participate in scholarly pursuits Qualifications NLU is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community and strongly encourages all qualified individuals to apply.
