We need someone who can collect and analyze data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care.</p><p>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS<br><br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement</li><li>Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification are required</li><li>9 months of professional nursing experience</li><li>The ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills, good time and resource management skills, flexibility, strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of unit-specific equipment, and knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, and interdisciplinary collaboration</li><li>Previous NICU or ICU experience highly preferred!</li></ul><p>As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li>Perform and document assessments of the patient/family including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs</li><li>Collect and analyze data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care</li><li>Analyze situations, anticipate potential problems, and detect changes in patient status</li><li>Identify each patient’s needs pertaining to patient teaching, discharge planning, growth and development, nutritional screening, functional status, and pain management</li><li>Develop an individualized plan of care based upon the nursing assessment and re-prioritize and change as necessary</li><li>Determine which standards of care and practice apply to the patient and coordinate among other health team members as appropriate</li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and/or patient care conferences</li><li>Execute therapeutic physician or nurse interventions according to established standards</li><li>Evaluate and document the patient’s response to the care provided and recognize their progress towards the desired outcome</li><li>Identify actual/potential barriers to learning and utilize various teaching strategies to overcome them as appropriate</li><li>Maintain confidentiality concerning patient/family issues</li><li>Act as a resource in educating new employees/team members</li><li>Participate in achieving hospital/unit goals, structures, and priorities</li></ul>",
