    "description": "<h2> Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>THIS IS A TEMPORARY, SUMMER-ONLY POSITION.</strong></p>\n<p>The Supervisor (Waterfront & Outdoor Facilities) works closely with BCYF Operations staff to ensure that the standards for maintaining a swimming pool or open water area are met, including in some instances being aware of water bacteria levels are in nearby or its specific area. The Supervisor (Waterfront & Outdoor Facilities) is responsible for the overall management of a Swimming Facility and Area and the lifeguard staff assigned to such location. Supervisors are overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility or waterfront during hours of operation. All supervisors should have prior lifeguarding experience, preferably as a Head Lifeguard at a pool or open water swimming area.</p>\n<h2> Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedule pool staff and prepare weekly payroll reports.</li>\n <li>Maintain the entire pool facility in compliance with local board of health regulations.</li>\n <li>Working with the Head Lifeguard to ensure staff are appropriately stationed, in uniform, and meeting the performance expectations of BCYF lifeguards.</li>\n <li>Responsible for patrons visiting their facilities.</li>\n <li>Ensure appropriate signage is posted and visible to patrons and staff.</li>\n <li>Ensuring daily workouts are completed and logged.</li>\n <li>Conducting in-service training at their respective facilities.</li>\n <li>Set up and prepare the facility for initial opening, and dismantle and pack for closing.</li>\n <li>Perform other pool-related duties as required.</li>\n <li>Perform other aquatic-related duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Perform related work as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2> Minimum Entrance Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants must have current certification in ARC Lifeguard Training, ARC BLS-CPR, ARC in Standard First Aid, or Equivalent.</li>\n <li>One to two (1-2) years of experience in the area of Aquatic pool or waterfront direction.</li>\n <li>ARC instructorship in the areas of Water Safety (WSI) and Lifeguard Training (LGT) is preferred.</li>\n <li>Competitive swimming experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.</li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible hours.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>\n <li><strong>CORI - SORI CHECK REQUIRED</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position has received a waiver from the Boston Residency Commission, establishing a temporary moratorium on the City of Boston Residency Ordinance for a period of three years, ending January 4, 2027.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Terms</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Start Date: </strong>June 22, 2026</p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Rate:</strong> $26/hr</p>\n<p><strong>Union/Salary Plan/Grade</strong>: Non-Union/Non-Graded</p>\n<p><strong>Hours per week</strong>: 35</p>\n<p><strong>Job Type</strong><strong>:</strong> Full-Time</p>\n<p><strong>Work Location: </strong>In-Person</p>\n<p> </p>",
