Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant is a member of the patient centered medical care team and is responsible for working with providers, nurses and other front office staff to prepare patients in an efficient manner and ensure a smooth and consistent workflow. Medical assistants perform many tasks some of which include: Documentation of chief complaint, Review of medications and allergies, Vital signs, completing preventive health screenings, lab test and or other procedures.  Administrative support Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of a Medical Assistant program (diploma) from an accredited school or be certified as a medical assistant with one year of experience. Basic Life Support Certification is also required. Oral and written proficiency in English, bi-lingual fluency in Spanish preferred. Experience in Pediatric Care preferred.
