Performance drives our company through the lens of service, integrity, and shared ownership.</p><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><h2><strong>&nbsp;</strong></h2><ul><li>The Roofing Service Technician Assistant is responsible for assisting in locating leaks and performing professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner, while treating customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect. Job duties also include the completion of defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of all company issued equipment such as vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.</li><li>Maintain trucks to ensure they are always stocked and cleaned inside and out</li><li>Utilize industry standard manufacturer approved repair techniques</li><li>Complete daily assignments in a timely manner with completion of proper paperwork</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned</li><li>Remove clutter on roof and maintain a clean &amp; neat work area</li><li>Transport hot tar from kettle to work area</li><li>Clean and maintain roofing equipment</li><li>Cover and secure material and equipment on roof</li><li>Clean and maintain dump and staging area on ground</li><li>Keeps debris away from roof</li><li>Keeps material grouped and properly staged</li><li>Spuds, seals and maintains tie ins</li><li>Properly prepares and primes surfaces</li><li>Safely disposes of hazardous materials</li><li>Places plates and screws in proper locations</li><li>&nbsp;Covers equipment and materials as needed</li><li>Aware of surroundings &ndash; people, hazards, scopes of work</li></ul><h2><strong>Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required </strong></h2><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Education</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required</li></ul><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Experience</em></strong></p><p>2 years commercial roofing service technician experience preferred</p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Skills &amp; Requirements</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 18 years of age</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and insurable driving record</li><li>Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests</li><li>Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall</li><li>Ability to lift 100 LBS or more</li><li>Successful Background Check</li><li>Ability to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and high temperatures</li><li>Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day</li><li>Able to pass a government background check per project requirements</li><li>Knowledge of basic roofing tools</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><h2><strong>Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements</strong></h2><ul><li>Full time onsite</li><li>Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.</li><li>Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing upon reasonable suspicion or any other regulatory requirement.</li><li>The company is a &ldquo;pet friendly&rdquo; environment.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><h2><strong>General Commitment for All Employees</strong></h2><ul><li>Commitment to Company values and complies with Company norms, policies, directives, and procedures.</li><li>Follows all safety procedures and protocols.</li><li>Honors and protects confidential and proprietary documents and information.</li><li>Satisfies work schedule requirements.</li><li>The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities required to be performed by the employee.
