    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary&nbsp;</strong><br>The Maintenance Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading evening maintenance operations across three WM locations - McFarland, Fresno, and Visalia - providing direct oversight, coaching, and development of technicians while ensuring preventive maintenance and standard reports are completed efficiently. This on-site role requires regular weekly travel between locations, strong time management, and the ability to prioritize work across multiple shops to support safe, reliable fleet operations. By applying for this role, candidates acknowledge and accept the required work schedule and travel expectations.</p><p>Schedule: 1:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday through Friday<br>&nbsp;<br><br>II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Oversees the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop.</li><li>Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality.</li><li>Reviews driver repairs and other maintenance requests and prepares work order documents.</li><li>Performs mechanical duties as needed.</li><li>Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed.</li><li>Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and conducting disciplinary action as needed. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.</li><li>Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations.</li><li>Creates and submits reports as necessary.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>III. Qualifications&nbsp;<br><br>A. Required Qualifications</p><div><div><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED (accredited)&nbsp;</li><li>4 years years of relevant work experience. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
