As a Data Scientist at First Stop Health, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we use data to make decisions, drive innovation, and improve our services. This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate across teams and write production-level code. You’ll have the opportunity to think strategically and creatively about solving business challenges through metrics, projections, experiments, and predictive models.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Analytical Strategy</strong> <strong>Development</strong>: Design and build metrics, experiments, projections, and predictive models to address key business challenges and drive decision-making</li><li><strong>Programming</strong>: Write clean, efficient, and production-ready code in Python and SQL, ensuring data accuracy and reproducibility&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Database Collaboration</strong>: Partner with Product and Data Engineering to define database requirements and improve data architecture to support analytical needs</li><li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement</strong>: Collaborate with business stakeholders to deeply understand their challenges, propose data-driven solutions, and effectively communicate insights</li><li><strong>Iterative Improvement</strong>: Test and refine data models and solutions, measuring their impact and iterating to ensure continuous improvement</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong>:</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field required</li><li>Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role, with demonstrated success in solving complex business problems</li><li>Experience in the healthcare or health tech industry is preferred, as well as experience analyzing and predicting engagement</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced proficiency in Python (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, or similar libraries) and SQL (e.g., complex queries, optimizing performance)</li><li>Experience with experimentation (e.g., A/B testing), predictive modeling, and machine learning</li><li>Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI or Python visualization libraries)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of database structures and ability to collaborate on database requirements</li><li>A creative thinker with a track record of developing innovative and impactful data solutions</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders</li></ul><p>First Stop Health is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
