Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>How you’ll contribute&nbsp;</strong></p><p>A Scheduler who excels in this role:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Schedules patient testing, procedures, and admissions; obtains pre-certification/authorization numbers and enters them into the scheduling or registration system; collects and enters accurate insurance information; and answers incoming phone calls.</li><li>Schedules patients for ancillary, surgical, and medical testing, procedures, and admissions, ensuring patients are not scheduled when personnel are unavailable.</li><li>Notifies patients or physician office staff of any out-of-network carriers or issues that may result in reduced benefits.</li><li>Communicates special instructions, testing requirements, and any other pertinent information or documents to patients or physician office staff.</li><li>Maintains awareness of next-day scheduling reports to ensure registration staff are prepared for arriving patients, appropriate testing is performed, time slots are available, and the necessary staff are scheduled.</li><li>Obtains physician orders and required authorization or pre-certification.</li><li>Enters outpatient procedures into the Order Entry System.</li><li>Ensures consistency between the scheduling module and the admissions module for patients being admitted for services.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What we’re looking for&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent Required or at least three years of directly related experience may be substituted for the required education.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Fluent in Spanish<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Work Experience:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.</li><li>Medical terminology, billing, and/or collection experience preferred.</li><li>Computer experience required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<br><strong>Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>M-F</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Why join us</strong></p><p>We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
