This role ensures full compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards by supervising the proper cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment and facility areas.</p><p>This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a Spanish-speaking workforce.</p><h2><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></h2><h3><strong>Sanitation Operations</strong></h3><ul><li>Supervise nightly sanitation of production lines, equipment, and facility areas</li><li>Ensure cleaning and sanitizing procedures follow SSOPs</li><li>Verify correct chemical usage, dilution, and storage</li><li>Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure production readiness</li><li>Oversee proper disassembly and reassembly of equipment</li></ul><h3><strong>Food Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></h3><ul><li>Enforce compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA/USDA (if applicable), and OSHA standards</li><li>Maintain sanitation logs and required documentation</li><li>Identify and correct sanitation deficiencies</li><li>Support internal and external audits</li><li>Implement corrective actions when necessary</li></ul><h3><strong>Team Leadership</strong></h3><ul><li>Lead, train, and supervise sanitation team members</li><li>Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols</li><li>Manage shift schedules, attendance, and performance</li><li>Promote teamwork, accountability, and efficiency</li></ul><h3><strong>Safety &amp; Risk Management</strong></h3><ul><li>Enforce safe chemical handling procedures</li><li>Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements</li><li>Investigate and document safety incidents</li><li>Maintain organized sanitation supply storage</li></ul><h3><strong>Cross-Department Communication</strong></h3><ul><li>Coordinate with Production, QA, and Maintenance</li><li>Ensure smooth transition between shifts</li><li>Report sanitation status to management</li></ul><h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations</li><li><strong>Must be fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)</strong></li><li>Ability to work in wet, cold, and physically demanding environments</li></ul><h2><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></h2><ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>Comfortable working with sanitation chemicals</li><li>Ability to work PM/overnight shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed</li></ul>",
