The ideal candidate has strong technical, customer service, and problem-solving skills. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all work adhering to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Keep records of hour meter readings for power equipment at assigned location</li>\n <li>Complete and record all scheduled required servicing</li>\n <li>Maintain all tools in good working order</li>\n <li>Report to small tools superintendent on each visual inspection of problems that would require replacement or major repair</li>\n <li>Notify supervisor of any complications when servicing that would make equipment inoperable</li>\n <li>Overhaul small gas and diesel engines</li>\n <li> Keep a check and balance on parts and tools</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of work site and tools</li>\n <li>Report all oil spills to supervisor</li>\n <li>Train on use and maintenance of new tools</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR 2 years of related experience and/or training</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n <li>Clean driving record</li>\n <li>Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Computer skills able to learn and use different software’s </li>\n <li>Ability to use mechanics hand and power tools</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in small tools mechanics or work experience. </li>\n <li> Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries</li>\n <li>OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Occasionally required to: </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Stand, walk, sit </li>\n  <li>Use hands to finger and feel</li>\n  <li>Talk or hear</li>\n  <li>Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n  <li>Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds </li>\n  <li>Drive up to 2 hours</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Moving mechanical parts</li>\n  <li>Fumes or airborne particles</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Travel up to 2 hours</li>\n <li>Required to work outdoors in all environments at times</li>\n <li>Hours regularly exceed 40/week and 8/day overtime when needed</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually moderate</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The <strong>H&K Group, Inc.</strong> provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
