This role will support our civil and environmental disciplines, and most importantly help grow our portfolio of work with clients across multiple geographies but primarily based in New Jersey.   <strong>This position will require work with our project teams in New Jersey with approximately 50% travel to the Linden, NJ</strong> <strong>project site with possible travel nationally.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform engineering design tasks with guidance from project engineers and project managers on large, complex civil/environmental remediation projects through applications of relevant design criteria, and standards and processes of both public and private clients.</li>\n <li>Assist with a variety of field assignments including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and system Operation and Maintenance (O&M).</li>\n <li>Perform field oversight of subcontractors.</li>\n <li>Prepare technical reports and evaluate site data to progress projects toward regulatory closure.</li>\n <li>Establish strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior-level staff. </li>\n <li>Participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture.</li>\n <li>Continuously interact and learn from technical design staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>B.S. in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.</li>\n <li>1-4 years of relative experience or willingness to learn site/civil design including site grading, stormwater analysis, erosion/sediment control measures and earthworks estimation.</li>\n <li>Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. </li>\n <li>A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.</li>\n <li>Solid written and verbal communications skills. </li>\n <li>Willingness to travel out of state.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.</li>\n <li>40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certificate.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card within 6 months of start date.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder:</strong> Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
