Asure’s HCM offering includes Payroll &amp; Tax, HR, and Time &amp; Attendance software and HR Services ranging from online compliance tools to a fully outsourced HR department.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We're building our L&amp;D function from the ground up, and this is one of the most important hires we'll make. As our first dedicated Instructional Designer, you'll take the deep product knowledge and training expertise that lives inside our team and turn it into scalable, high-quality learning experiences for our people and our customers. You'll work across the full design lifecycle — from needs analysis and content strategy through to building, launching, and iterating on programs. This is a hands-on role with real creative ownership and genuine influence on how learning works at Asure.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The ideal candidate will be located near one of our hub locations:<span> Austin, TX; </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Nashville, TN; Burlington, VT; Cherry Hill, NJ; Rochester, NY; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA or Santa Ana, CA.</span></span></em></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">How you will contribute</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Content design &amp; development</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the end-to-end design of learning programs: onboarding, product knowledge, role-specific skills, and manager development</li>\n<li>Build engaging eLearning modules, job aids, facilitator guides, assessments, and blended learning experiences</li>\n<li>Work directly with subject matter experts (trainers, product managers, CS leads) to translate role responsibilities, workflows, policies, and product usage into learner-centered training experiences</li>\n<li>Apply adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, or equivalent) to every piece of work</li>\n<li>Build digital learning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, or similar platforms.</li>\n<li>Incorporate real‑world role scenarios and practice opportunities to reinforce learning transfer.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Learning infrastructure</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish and own our authoring tool workflow and content standards</li>\n<li>Partner with our LMS admin to ensure content is well-structured, easily navigable, and maintained</li>\n<li>Build templates and reusable assets that allow the team to produce content faster over time</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration &amp; stakeholder management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to conduct learning needs analysis</li>\n<li>Translate business problems into learning solutions — and push back clearly when training isn't the right answer</li>\n<li>Present design proposals and work-in-progress to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Measurement &amp; improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Define success criteria for every program you design</li>\n<li>Use learner feedback, completion data, and business outcomes to iterate and improve content</li>\n<li>Contribute to building a measurement framework for the wider L&amp;D function</li>\n<li>Maintain and update learning content to reflect evolving processes, systems, and role expectations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of instructional design experience, ideally in a SaaS, tech, or professional services environment</li>\n<li>Proficiency with at least one major authoring tool (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent)</li>\n<li>Strong grasp of adult learning theory and practical experience applying different design methodologies</li>\n<li>Experience conducting learning needs analysis and translating findings into a content plan</li>\n<li>Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently without a lot of structural support</li>\n<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — you'll be working closely with non-L&amp;D people constantly</li>\n<li>A portfolio of work that demonstrates range: eLearning, facilitator-led content, job aids, and ideally some blended programs</li>\n<li>Experience in HR software, HCM, or a similarly complex B2B product environment</li>\n<li>Familiarity with LMS administration (not a requirement, but useful in our current setup)</li>\n<li>Experience building content for both internal audiences and external customers/clients</li>\n<li>Some exposure to learning analytics or evaluation frameworks (Kirkpatrick or similar)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation</span></p>\n<p>The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000 based on relevant experience, skills, and industry knowledge.
