Join our team to enjoy comprehensive benefits, including travel privileges on the American Airlines global network, so you can explore new destinations and create unforgettable memories with family and friends.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h1><strong>Position Summary</strong></h1>\n<p>The Regional Manager of Stores Operations is responsible for ensuring that each PSA base, is executing to the maximum levels of efficiency with regard to the receipt, storage, issuance, transfer and shipment of all aviation materials related to the operation. This also includes EMP/Contract bases, and the PSA base assigned to provide support for that EMP location. Working in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Stores Operation, this position engages Stores Management to ensure that training and process development are ongoing to develop the stores personnel for growth and advancement in the company. They will be a key catalyst for the development of uniformity throughout the bases and unmanned locations with forward-positioned materials.</p>\n<h2><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Supports Strategy and Sourcing Leadership and other senior management in projecting a strong commitment to the uncompromising promotion of safety and regulatory compliance.</li>\n <li>Provides leadership in the areas of personnel development, finance, productivity and accountability.</li>\n <li>Assists the Assistant Director of Stores Operations in development and implementation of performance KPI’s.</li>\n <li>Drives continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency. </li>\n <li>Assists in the development of stores budgets and cost projections.</li>\n <li>Maintain cost within assigned budgets.</li>\n <li>Ability to identify efficiency roadblocks, develop strategic initiatives, and execute on processes to remove barriers to success. </li>\n <li>Ensures that the Stores Management team is consistently following policies and procedures within the day-to-day operations, including but not limited to: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Shipping, receiving, transfers and packaging</li>\n   <li>Cycle count continuity</li>\n   <li>Empty bin status and reorder</li>\n   <li>Monitoring of tooling and inventory control.</li>\n   <li>Use of key functions and tools to address missing or lost materials and monitors for compliance.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Assists the Assistant Director of Stores Operations with development of new Training Modules and Implementation.</li>\n <li>Serves as an auxiliary trainer for INDOC and HAZMAT certifications for Stores Personnel.</li>\n <li>Audits stores processes to ensure that we are uniformly compliant, consistent, and within company processes and procedures.</li>\n <li>Reviews and assists in demand scheduling to ensure optimal coverage.</li>\n <li>Performs project management functions relative to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Planned Physical Inventories</li>\n   <li>Annual Tool Calibration</li>\n   <li>Implementation of new initiatives (CL+, Barcoding, Data Migration, RFID, etc.)</li>\n   <li>Development and improvement of metrics including, but not limited to Cycle Count Accuracy, Cycle Count Completions, Fill rates relative to Right Start and Controllable Completion Factors as the opportunities arise.</li>\n   <li>DOD base audits</li>\n   <li>IATA audits </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Specifics</h2>\n<h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1>\n<p>Required</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>4+ years of aviation related experience.</li>\n <li>5+ years of leadership experience.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.</li>\n <li>Ability to speak/read/write in English.  </li>\n <li>If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines.</li>\n <li>Results-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Professional demeanor with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels, including external partners and regulatory agencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Additional Information</strong> </h2>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility</strong>: This is a supervisory position.</p>\n<p><strong>Delegation: </strong>In absence, responsibilities delegated to Assistant Director of Stores Operations.</p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> This job operates approximately 80% of the time inside a climate-controlled building and approximately 20% of the time outside in all types of weather. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.<strong>Physical Demands:</strong> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.<strong>Security Clearance:</strong> All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 as well as a pre-employment drug screen. Be able to obtain airport SIDA badging.
