    "description": "<p>This role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned and client-focused accounting professional to lead and manage our expanding team in the Accounting &amp; Advisory business unit in Malaysia. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a key member of the management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction while driving the success and development of both the team and the business unit.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will supervise and support the delivery of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of international clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing new client engagements, including the prospecting and onboarding processes. The role also includes staff management and development, where you will act as a coach and mentor to your team, ensuring their growth and performance align with business goals.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise and support the delivery of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a broad portfolio of international clients.</li>\n<li>Participate in new client prospects meetings and oversee the onboarding process.</li>\n<li>Develop a deep understanding of your Client’s businesses to ensure that Forvis Mazars’ reports and advice are timely relevant and that a strong “Trusted Business Advisor” relationship is in place.</li>\n<li>Impart technical expertise to your team to ensure accounts are prepared in line with Singapore and International Financial Standards. Additionally, identify and highlight potential advisory and compliance issues (e.g. taxation, Companies Act, immigration) to the appropriate experts within Mazars for further consideration.</li>\n<li>Plan the work of your team and help them to ensure deliverables are timely and processes are efficient.</li>\n<li>Take ownership of the financial performance of your team.</li>\n<li>Ensure all firm quality and risk processes are understood and complied with by your team.</li>\n<li>Coach, mentor and support the continuous development and well-being of staff.</li>\n<li>Act as a key member of the management team, exhibiting and promoting high levels of client service and commercial thinking.</li>\n<li>Contribute to ad-hoc projects and other tasks as and when required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job requirements </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification.</li>\n<li>Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years at a supervisory level, preferably within a professional services firm.</li>\n<li>Deep understanding of Singapore compliance requirements including accounting, tax, payroll, and the Companies Act is a definite advantage.</li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential; Familiarity with XERO, SAP and/or NetSuite is an advantage.</li>\n<li>Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.</li>\n<li>Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate a strong focus on client service, with entrepreneurial and commercial thinking skills.</li>\n<li>Please take note that this role will be based in Malaysia and the interview will be conducted virtually.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Forvis Mazars Asia Pacific Services Sdn Bhd (FMAPS) is a Malaysia incorporated company and a member firm of Forvis Mazars, an international Advisory and Accountancy Group that operates as a single integrated partnership.
