We seek reflective, intentional educators who are looking to contribute to a progressive, integrated curriculum informed by Montessori pedagogy and principles. As an After School Program Teacher, the individual will share responsibility for the After School Program student experience and develop strong partnerships with colleagues and parents. This role is a great opportunity for those interested in seeing many different facets of an independent school. Teachers work whenever school is in session, during vacation programs, and optionally during summer programs. Teachers are expected to attend regular meetings and share responsibilities with other faculty in the areas of curriculum management, after school schedules, student needs, and the learning environment. After School Program Teachers report to the Director of Auxiliary Programs. We actively seek candidates whose lived experiences reflect and enhance the racial, cultural, and gender diversity of our school community. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">General School Day Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Assist with classroom coverage as needed throughout the school</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Support with coverage during recess, lunch, P.E. class, and other occasions as needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure continuity between the classroom and After School Program</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">After School Program Teacher</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Develop lesson plans and activities and lead engaging hands-on lessons in collaboration with classroom teachers and other after school teachers</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintaining classroom spaces</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Implementing strict safety protocols including monitoring student attendance and safely escorting students throughout campus</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ensure the safety and well-being of each student</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Lead safe After School trips to locations off-campus</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Observe all rules and regulations of Kingsley Montessori School</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintain overall professional personal appearance</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">QUALIFICATIONS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">BA/BS degree required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Commitment to meeting the needs of each child </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with and/or an interest in learning more about Montessori pedagogy [American Montessori Society (AMS) / Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teaching credentials are a plus but are not required] </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">TO APPLY, CANDIDATES SHOULD SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Cover letter describing your interest in the position including your background and experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Current resume</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">List of three current/past supervisors with email addresses and phone numbers</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Kingsley is committed to equitable compensation for all faculty.
