Join a team that is committed to training and developing APP's interested in a career in radiology.  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Under the direction and collaboration of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including: Hysterosonogram, sonohysterograms, gastrointestinal and genitourinary fluoroscopic directed procedures, and other specialized minor image -guided therapies. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Under the direction and collaboration of a physician, performs inpatient and outpatient consultations, to complete a historical intake, perform physical examinations, direct a plan of care, provide education and informed consent, or offer follow up procedural care.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Leads the fluoroscopic care team in daily workflow at busy academic practice including but not limited to providing directives of patient care coordination, supervising residents, and performing diagnostic procedures.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.  Actively participates in advocacy for a team approach to patient management that includes MD, nursing and tech support staff, referring providers, patients and family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays.  Under the direction and collaboration of a physician, interprets radiographic imaging for direction of therapeutic interventions. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicates necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patient. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>In collaboration with physician, arranges for consultations with or referrals to other medical professional or community services.  Collaborates and communicates with referring providers to establish timely patient access and interventions. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Educates patient on health habits, self-examinations, behavior management, need for follow-up assessments/treatments, at home medical care, medication and other issues related to medical or health problems. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborates with manager to formulate plan for professional and APP team development. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Attends educational in-services as appropriate. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains and updates current, accurate patient records including medical assessment, interventions, and evaluations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collects and interprets diagnostic data to implement appropriate care patient care plans. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares statistical reports and analyses of research projects and investigational protocols; reports on progress, adverse trends and appropriate conclusions and recommendations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Trains and teaches other health care professionals including students and residents in techniques and procedures unique to specific setting. Assists with onboarding of new hires. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Actively participates on organizational health services committees. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs related responsibilities as required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>On Call weekend responsibilities on a rotational basis for abdominal division.    </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.</li>\n <li>Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).</li>\n <li>Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.</li>\n <li>Minimum of two years' of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.  </li>\n <li>Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
