Description
See what you’re missing. Our employees work on the world’s most advanced electronics – from detecting threats for F-35 pilots to illuminating the night for soldiers. Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we are developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. Drawing strength from our differences, we’re innovating for the future. And you can, too. Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world without giving up your personal life. We put our customers first – exemplified by our mission: “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®.” Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.
Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. We welcome all those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive fielding velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safe.
The Advanced Electronic Warfare Solutions (AEWS) Product Line within the Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area has an opening for a Principal Contract Administrator in support of a Classified “Major New Start” pursuit at the forefront of development of new Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This is an individual contributor position based in Nashua, NH. Due to the classified nature of this role, this position requires on-site support. The selected candidate will work under minimal supervision with a variety of Classified customers to shape and close business opportunities.
BAE Systems’ Contracts organization is the trusted business partner managing customer relationships, negotiating deals, creating innovative solutions, and providing regulatory knowledge to our internal stakeholders and external customers. To be successful in the position, you will require a comprehensive knowledge of business agreements, government and commercial contracting methods, including policies, procedures and regulations. The role requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgement and demonstration of leadership in contracting strategy and methods, to include proficiency in research and presentation skills. You will regularly contribute to the development and implementation of new business methods, processes, and contracting concepts in order to achieve business unit and Contracts organizational goals and objectives. Most importantly, this position will require you to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Principal Contract Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collaboration with internal program office and our customers to solve complex issues Application of business acumen in furtherance of sound contract execution Coordination, negotiation, and management of complex proposals and contracts Evaluation of solicitation provisions, contractual requirements, terms and conditions, regulatory requirements to enable sound business advice and counsel to program and functional leads Extensive knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and ability to interpret and apply all internal policies and procedures in furtherance of program execution Preservation and maintenance of official contractual records for all assigned proposals, contracts, and agreements
We are committed to employee growth and development, encouraging employees to build growth-oriented careers at BAE Systems. In addition to challenging day-to-day assignments, employees are encouraged to pursue special projects, participate in formal and informal mentoring programs, attend networking events, and rotate into different contractual roles with increasing levels of responsibility. This includes opportunities for promotion and relocation to other business units within the U.S. and overseas. BAE Systems also provides employees with opportunities to engage with and positively influence the internal and external communities in which we work.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
