font-size: 16px;\">Phillips Academy seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable head varsity girls&rsquo; basketball coach with a start date of early September 2026.</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Andover girls&rsquo; basketball program, including, but not limited to:&nbsp;</span></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Planning and leading daily practice sessions, four days per week</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Overseeing all aspects of game day as well as game-day preparations, typically 2-game days per week across the season with occasional 3-game weeks&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Working collaboratively with varsity assistant coaches as well as JV program coaches to encourage program continuity</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Supporting out-of-season training that aligns with all Phillips Academy and NEPSAC policies and standards</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Coordinating with athletic department on all details of team management including but not limited to, travel logistics, food and scheduling</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Cultivating and overseeing a positive team culture</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Promoting the Andover basketball program through social media and website recaps as well as recognition of individual player achievement within NEPSAC or beyond&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">The competitive basketball season runs from late November through early March, with a commitment of approximately 30-35 hours per week (Monday&ndash;Saturday). Practice sessions are typically held between 3:15 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., with midweek and Saturday games. Away games on Wednesday often require an early afternoon (1:30 p.m.) departure from campus with longer away travel schedule to be expected on Saturdays.
