We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join ClearSpace.
The Role
The successful candidate will be a key member of our Electrical Systems Team, working to support the rapid delivery of spacecraft. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary environment with opportunities to grow professionally and offer the chance to work outside of your discipline, if desired. The current role will involve all aspects of the spacecraft avionics and electrical systems, but with a particular focus on electronics to support robotics developments.
Responsibilities
Support all phases of the electrical subsystem lifecycle (spacecraft platform and robotics payloads), from conceptual phase until testing and validation
Define the key aspects of the subsystem, including power and data interfaces, sensor architectures
P erform requirements engineering and generate equipment specifications
Support supplier selection and subcontractor management for key hardware deliverables.
Support in-house development of electronics boards
S upport the definition of harness for test and spacecraft
Define required EGSE and support the build or procurement
Perform commissioning, validation, and functional testing of electrical subsystems, including analysis of test results
Define and document electrical interface specifications
Support integration activities and execute functional and performance verification tests
Support the development of software for testing and flight
Act as the technical point of contact on the electrical subsystem with key stakeholders: internal, customers, subcontractors.
Advise the spacecraft team on all areas of electrical concern (e.g. grounding, EMC, power, charging)
Help define validation, verification and test plans
Must Have
BSc/MSc Degree in engineering or equivalent (with mathematics, science or engineering content specific to aviation/aerospace applications)
5+ years of avionics engineering experience in the space industry
Analogue and digital electronics design for robotics and motor control
Specification and test of electrical equipment
Knowledge of communication buses (CAN, SpaceWire , Ethernet, etc.).

Design and development of space-qualified electronic boards
Working with spacecraft power systems, instrumentation and flight software
Embedded software development for commissioning and testing
Designing for EMC/EMI/ESD
End-to-end development from product concept to customer/market delivery
Technical leadership
Developing to common space standards (ECSS, MIL, etc)
