Our multidisciplinary approach combines education, therapy, and care to promote holistic development and positive outcomes.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p>We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our therapeutic team on a contract or permanent basis. This role is ideal for a practitioner experienced in working with children and young people with complex needs, who is confident in assessing and supporting functional, sensory, and adaptive skills. It is<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FOR THE APPLICANT TO BE TRAINED IN SENSORY INTEGRATION AT POSTGRADUATE LEVEL.</span></p>\n<p>You will contribute to multidisciplinary assessments, provide targeted interventions, and offer expert guidance to staff and families to help young people reach their full potential.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including sensory processing, functional skills, and adaptive behaviour assessments (e.g., ABAS, Vineland) within the scope of OT practice.</li>\n<li>Develop and implement individualised therapy plans and evidence-based interventions.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with education, care, and therapy staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li>\n<li>Provide clear, detailed reports and professional recommendations for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and reviews.</li>\n<li>Deliver training and consultation to staff and parents on sensory regulation, adaptive functioning, and strategies to support independence.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About You</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.</li>\n<li>Experience working with children and young people, ideally within education, residential, or therapeutic settings.</li>\n<li>Proficient in conducting adaptive behaviour assessments (e.g., ABAS, Vineland) and interpreting results to inform functional support plans.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of sensory integration and trauma-informed approaches.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills.</li>\n<li>Able to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pay aligned with NHS Agenda for Change Banding, commensurate with experience.</li>\n<li>Supportive, multidisciplinary working environment.</li>\n<li>Opportunities for professional growth and clinical supervision.</li>\n<li>Flexible working arrangements and autonomy within a structured framework.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you wish to discuss this role further please contact Dr Nadia Khurram or email at [email protected].</p>\n<p><br></p>",
