The Department Manager is responsible for leading a team of Inside Sales & Counter Sales Representatives focused on Plumbing, HVAC & Fluid Handling. They are responsible for making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls to retain business with customers (and will individually perform these responsibilities at times); and increasing the level of penetration in his or her existing customer base by recommending and selling complementary First Supply products.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and manage departmental budget</li>\n <li>Maintain consistent contact with manufacture representatives, customers and vendors to address any business needs </li>\n <li>Initiate and manage all promotional activities for plumbing department</li>\n <li>Maintain high technical knowledge of plumbing industry</li>\n <li>Recommend to Purchasing Department new product additions</li>\n <li>Assist clients and/or staff with special requests and problems</li>\n <li>Provide performance plans and feedback for assigned staff</li>\n <li>Monitor attendance of staff and make appropriate recommendations</li>\n <li>Assist General Manager and/or perform in the performance review process of staff</li>\n <li>Assist General Manager in the hiring and releasing of staff</li>\n <li>Education and training as required by the General Manager</li>\n <li>Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>College degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years experience with Plumbing, HVAC, or Fluid Handling products preferred. </li>\n <li>Previous people management experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Progressive management experience with demonstrated success</li>\n <li>Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC's business system</li>\n <li>Ability to interact effectively with customers and staff members</li>\n <li>Ability to manage time effectively</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>About First Supply</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>First Supply</strong>® is a leading main channel wholesale distributor, providing industrial customers and building contractors with an extensive line of products and services.
