    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">The position of HVAC Technician is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. &nbsp;A person in this position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This position is responsible for performing all services in a safe and timely manner.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Job Summary</u>:</p><p>These are the <strong><u>basic requirements</u></strong> of the position and must be performed competently.</p><ol><li>Installs new HVAC units in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.</li><li>Installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.</li><li>Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate properly.</li><li>Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing HVAC units.</li><li>Installs replacement parts on existing HVAC units.</li><li>Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.</li><li>Complies with company and industry safety standards.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><u>ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:</u></p><ol><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required.</li><li>Apprentice or Journeyman HVAC license required.</li><li>EPA certification required; must have a comprehensive understanding of HVAC safety standards.</li><li>HVAC experience required; two years of related experience preferred.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.</li><li>Ability to use power and hand tools.</li><li>Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system.</li><li>Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions.</li><li>Excellent mechanical skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with customers.</li><li>Must exhibit a professional and positive image.</li></ol></div></div>\n",
