Our Meat Cutter will execute day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments and provide a memorable experience for all our customers. A Meat Cutter is a responsible team player and always ready to learn. A Meat Cutter has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in stocking, production, and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong>A&nbsp;Meat Cutter&nbsp;is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.</p>\n<p>A Meat Team Member’s responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.</li>\n <li>Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling, and always giving a genuine thank you.</li>\n <li>Ordering, cutting, grinding, slicing, weighing, wrapping and labeling according to quality, quantity, product freshness and food safety and sanitation standards.</li>\n <li>Through proper handling, cutting, trimming and wrapping techniques, controls product shrinks and inventory expenses.</li>\n <li>Selling products by providing customers with excellent and helpful product information.</li>\n <li>Properly using the meat department tools and equipment including knives, saws, wrapping machine, tenderizer, patty maker, grinder, while meeting meat department safety standards.</li>\n <li>Understanding the importance of correctly using and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement.</li>\n <li>Keeping a clean, neat and orderly, and well-stocked meat counter, work areas, meat service cases and self-service cases.</li>\n <li>Helping with the preparation of ready to go meat products.</li>\n <li>Slicing, weighing and merchandising of prepared deli meats and cheeses.</li>\n <li>Displaying goods following deli department and/or merchandising guidelines.</li>\n <li>Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Safety sensitive position.</li>\n <li>All other related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The&nbsp;Meat Cutter responsibilities will primarily be in the Meat department but may also work in other departments as needed.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Desired qualifications include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.</li>\n <li>Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery or similar experience desired</li>\n <li>Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation</li>\n <li>Skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions</li>\n <li>Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy</li>\n <li><strong>Must be 18 years of age</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period:</strong></p>\n<p>Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
